Cosmos Green

In 2011, the founders left corporate life to make farming climate-smart. Fieldwork across dryland districts, alongside more than 1,500 farmers, surfaced a pattern that would shape everything after it: soils stabilised when water retention improved, and grazing pressure eased. Recovery followed sequence and protection, not the intensity of effort.

Kheyti

In 2015, that field intuition met product design. The result was the Greenhouse-in-a-Box, a solution that cut water use and raised farmer incomes at scale, and went on to win the Earthshot Prize for Protect & Restore Nature in 2022. It also revealed the limit of farm-level work: real impact compounds only when the ecological systems around a farm are strengthened too.

Soul Forest

That limit is what led here. Soul Forest takes the same water-first, sequence-led thinking and applies it at landscape scale, restoring degraded land into permanent forest, and building the economy that keeps it that way. Veltoor is the first proof.

Founder's Note

Founder's Note

Land doesn't fail because people don't care.
It fails because we treat restoration like a temporary, isolated project.

Ecosystems don't operate on human timelines; they require permanence and patience.

At Soul Forest, we started asking: What happens if restoration is built like infrastructure? Designed to last, maintained over decades, and structured to survive shifting markets and developmental ambitions. That requires linking ecology and economics, because if restoration relies only on goodwill, extraction always seems more favourable.

We tested and built this approach on ordinary, degraded landscapes under real economic pressure. We have seen barren, rocky soil produce food and dried-up lakes hold water again, proving that deep recovery is possible. But this isn’t a completely solved problem. Parts of our work are thriving, while others remain fragile. We choose to name those risks directly, believing that genuine progress requires constant learning, adapting, and refining the process. No single team has all the answers, which is why we actively collaborate with partners and domain experts who bring deep, specialized mastery to the areas where we fall short.

We are not building toward short-term inspiration or goodwill.
We are building toward something ultra-long-term and far more durable: restoration that is predictable, verifiable, and still standing long after the story around it is forgotten, shaping landscapes lived and loved by generations to come.
